Update on 18 October

The nomination period for PARSA’s 2021 General Election has now closed.

Please note there are a number of vacant positions still available. We are currently working to a solution to find nominees to fill these positions. Stay tuned!

Online voting for the 2021 PARSA Annual General Elections opens Monday, 1 November at 10am and will close on Friday, 5 November at 5pm.

Candidate nominations for the Postgraduate and Research Students’ Association (PARSA) Election are open!

If you are interested in getting involved in the PARSA representative council in 2022, come along to our upcoming Information Night to find out what’s involved. During this exciting evening, we will run you through everything you need to know from nominations to voting, right through to roles and responsibilities involved as a representative member.

Dear Postgraduate and Research Students,
 

Candidate nominations for the 2021 Postgraduate and Research Students’ Association (PARSA) Election will open from 9am on Monday, the 20th of September 2021.

What positions are open?

Nominations are open for the following positions on the Postgraduate Representative Council (PRC):

 

Officers of the Association:

(a) President;

(b) Vice President;

(c) General Secretary;

(d) Equity Officer;

(e) Coursework Officer;

(f) Higher Degree by Research Officer;

(g) Social Officer;

(h) First Nations Officer;

(i) International Officer;

(j) Parents and Carers Officer; 

(k) Queer Officer;

(l) Disabilities Officer;

(m) Wellbeing Officer;

(n) Women’s Officer;

(o) Environmental Officer. and 

(p) for each ANU College; two (2) College Representatives (14 officers)

 

What is required to run for a position?

All nominees must be postgraduate students at ANU at the time of nomination. All nominees must comply with the requirements listed in the nomination form and with the PARSA Election Regulations. For more information on the duties and time commitment of the different positions, visit: https://parsa.anu.edu.au/elections/roledescriptions/ .

 

How do I nominate a candidate for election?

Nomination forms may be downloaded here. Nomination forms should be lodged to the PARSA Returning Officer at parsa.elections@anu.edu.au

If you are running on a ticket (5 or more persons) you can download Ticket Registration forms here.
