Call for Probity Officers

Call for Probity Officers

PARSA is seeking three postgraduate student volunteers to act as Probity Officers during the 2017 General Election period (August 3-21).

The role of Probity Officers during the PARSA election period is to investigate alleged or suspected electoral infractions at the request of the Returning Officer, and report back their findings. The Returning Officer will then make a final determination of whether there was a violation, and what sanction, if any, should be imposed on a candidate or ticket.

Undertaking this volunteer role provides an excellent opportunity to uphold the democratic values championed by students’ associations, by ensuring candidates act with integrity and adhere to the rules outlined in the PARSA Electoral Regulations.

To apply, download the volunteer role description and follow the application instructions.

The deadline for applications is Tuesday, July 25 at 5pm.
