Welcome to term 4.
The year has flown past and the end of the academic year is now in sight.
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote in our annual election. The incoming PARSA Postgraduate Representative Council (PRC) is excited for the year ahead and will be coming in officially from September 30. In the meantime PARSA is in the midst of preparing our annual budget bid to the ANU.
Our bid this year will be informed by the Postgraduate Survey results we conducted earlier this year which received over 1200 responses, so a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to complete this.
In other news, the PARSA Ordinary General Meeting will be held on September 26 to consider some important changes. This will include the proposed introduction to a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Officer and changes to how we regulate honoraria payments for selected elected student representatives. We will also be making changes to the College names to reflect the new changes ANU has made to the (now) College of Science and College of Health & Medicine.
Finally, we have teamed up with ANUSA and the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) to host a lunch for Marriage Equality this Thursday. Everyone is welcome to attend (it does not matter if you can vote or not) so please come down to show your support, and for some delicious lunch!
