ANU Stands Up For Change, Thursday 15 October, Union Court, 12-2pm
ANU Stands Up for Change is about standing up against extreme poverty and for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. This event is an Anti-Poverty Week event and gives ANU staff and students the opportunity to learn about and take part in the growing global movement to end extreme poverty.

There will be a free BBQ, sweet treats courtesy of the Chocolate Appreciation Society, live music by UniVibes, an East Timorese Choir and speakers Stephen Howes and Alastair Greig. There will also be roving cameras so that you can film your very own video petition to let the Australian Government know that Australia should increase our aid budget to 0.7% of the GNI, and keep our promise.
